AniSwipe is an anime discovery app published by AltamiraStudio. This policy explains what personal data the app collects, why, and the choices you have. By using AniSwipe you agree to the practices described here.
Account data: when you sign up with email or Google, we store your email address, display name and (for Google sign-in) your profile photo URL.
Profile and preferences: your favourite genres, theme choice, notification and privacy settings.
Activity data: the anime you swipe, like, mark as watched, rate, and comment on, so we can personalise your recommendations.
Social data: friend requests, friendships and direct messages you exchange with other users.
Device data: a push-notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic diagnostic/crash information.
Purchase data: when you subscribe, Google Play processes your payment and we store your subscription status and expiry. We never see your card details.
To provide and personalise the service (recommendations, lists, social features), to operate subscriptions, to send notifications you opt into, to keep the service secure, and to diagnose crashes and improve quality.
We rely on trusted third parties to run AniSwipe: Google Firebase (authentication, database, messaging, analytics, crash reporting), Supabase (anime catalogue), Cloudflare (backend functions), Google AdMob (rewarded ads for free users), and Google Play Billing (subscriptions). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Free accounts may see rewarded ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads. You can subscribe to Premium to remove ads.
Some information is visible to other users by design: your display name, photo, comments, ratings, and — to friends — your messages. Privacy settings let you hide your liked/watched lists and comments. We do not sell your personal data.
We keep your data while your account is active. Direct messages are automatically expired after a retention period. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Contact).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
AniSwipe is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
